How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age

DALE CARNEGIE

This book has been by my bedside for 20 years and I expect that it will remain close to me for the next 20. I gave it to my kids when they were old enough to read and it seems to have worked!  They are great young adults who, while respecting themselves, place the needs of others in their specter and on top of their daily routines. I gifted it to new employees for years and this also seems to have worked! We had a culture that thrived and we sustained much success for years, borne directly from the values of Carnegie; such as altruism and vulnerability. Respectful communication was at the top of our mission statement and we practiced it daily.

If we can get citizens to live by 50 percent of Carnegie’s teachings on communication, we would have 100 percent less turmoil and disagreement over our political affairs. We simply must get this advice into the hands of our children as soon as possible. It can turn regular students into highly regarded thought leaders citizens and earth movers!  Timeless in its application for people of all ages including early readers. We need a few good “men” to step up into our political spectrum on the national stage in the next few years! I hope that he or she would have been cut from the Carnegie cloth. We should all be so lucky. Thank you to all Carnegie associates who bring us his potentially life-changing works! Let’s work to get his teaching into our public schools earlier!
