SEL is short for Social Emotional Learning
We can’t force differences on others.
We can only help others be strong if we maintain our strength first.
This is a process that occurs due to certain built-in flaws in our nature, which we all share. That is why we don’t blame people for becoming detached or losing sight of their natural gifts to move beyond the ordinary. As you may recall, one of my theories is that humans were meant to move beyond the ordinary, in our thinking processes, to make it all work down here according to God’s plan.
Becoming temporarily detached is ok…
Our families and small groups can withstand that, however in large diverse communities like America the cumulative effects of a even small portion of us detaching and acting inconsistently with nature’s laws - are too much for us to handle.
In large diverse populations, given the way communicate with digital sensationalized messaging, the few are capable of tearing down the many because people don’t communicate in person, and only receive partial and often misleading bits of information.
The intended path for all of us is contained in the NL. The NL says that human beings are far more blessed than cursed, that at the time of our birth, we are all born with a special dispensation to know right from wrong and to apply reason to our emotions.
However, the key here (which has been summarized by thousands of philosophers over many years) is that if we don’t use our aptitudes we lose them.
Getting Along Academy Will provide NO novel theories - about how we teach kids to hold onto their special gifts. Because HOW to hold onto our God-given abilities for deep critical thinking has been well established.
We are simply not paying enough attention to how much damage is being done by those who lose sight of their natural abilities. How to stay emotionally well, to have the skills and temperament to be a good citizen, to embrace healthy disagreement, and to do the work of government is already known.
We are only failing in execution!
Therefore, teaching kids just how brilliant and naturally talented we are and how to hold onto these gifts, is a CORE element of achieving our model society based on natural laws.
